"The Definition of Hypertext and Its History as a Concept"

This essay helped me create a better understanding of how hypertext works. I realize that I have been interacting with hypertext or hypermedia all of the day in my every day internet searching routines, but did not realize the history behind it until I read this article. The definition of the term hyperlink made me think about how it can be endless; hypertext can possibly go on forever if there are enough paths or chains. I enjoyed learning about the history of hypertext, for example how the term was coined in the 1960s, I did not realize that hypertext had been around for that long. I found it interesting to think about how ideas have been shared through hypertext for many decades, and how that has impacted the internet today.

"Hyper textual Consciousness"

This site was fun to navigate through. I like how the paragraph about a certain subject is brief and easy to read upon clicking on the multiple links displayed on each page. I enjoyed reading about multiple categories. It was neat clicking through the links and learning new information on each new page and clicking through different categories, such as avant-pop, bandwidth, moving pictures, etc.
I find it interesting how a webpage that looks so simple can be successful and informative, and can be pleasing to go through because of the color changes and text sizes in the different categories.
